Introducing the selection criteria for the HELICOFLEX(R) HN HelicoFlex series!

We would like to introduce the design standards for our HELICOFLEX(R) HN HelicoFlex series. Designed to meet two different leakage rates. Seal selection according to various applications (gas seals, liquid seals, toxicity, contamination, etc.) must be done before the detailed design of equipment and devices is completed. Insufficient bolt load will prevent even the best metal seals from meeting performance standards. We offer free bolt load calculations before estimates, so please feel free to contact us. 【Features】 ■ Leakage rate at a differential pressure of 1 bar is "bubble-tight" at 1×10^-5 Pa·m³/sec (10^-4 atm·cm³·sec) or below. ■ Leakage rate at a differential pressure of 1 bar is "helium-tight" at 1×10^-12 Pa·m³/sec (10^-9 atm·cm³·sec) or below. The quality of the installation side is crucial. Metal seal adoption case: Chemical substance canister for semiconductor manufacturing

Good news for substances that cannot use resin or elastomer seal materials! By adopting metal seals, helium leak tightness has been achieved.

We would like to introduce a case where our "HELICOFLEX Delta Seal" was adopted for seals used in canisters by a chemical company. The specifications for the chemical company's canister seals required reliability to achieve helium leak tightness under both vacuum and positive pressure, as well as excellent durability, which ruled out the use of resin or elastomer materials. Delta Seal (HNV HELICOFLEX(R) DELTA) achieves ultra-high vacuum! [Standardized for JIS V-groove flanges]

The Delta Seal (HNV HELICOFLEX(R) DELTA) has two delta-shaped protrusions on the contact side of the cross-section. The delta-shaped protrusions are designed to collapse and disappear during the compression of the outer casing when integrated into the flange groove, and the design tightening pressure of the Delta Seal is lower compared to the Helicoflex seal, allowing for replacement with elastomer O-rings.
